Daffodil Shoots

Waiting by the school playground this morning I was entranced by the shoots of Daffodils, six inches high in the grass. How I look forward to the flowers themselves but I'm pressing time forward. The blooms always remind me of my father.  Daffodils were always blooming on his birthday. On the day he died, I picked the first open flowers in his garden to show him as he lay on his bed departing from us. The more I hope for the new season's Daffodil blooms the further away my father retreats.

Haven' t posted for a few days now. I've been bogged down with college deadlines. Hey ho  I'm now up to date.

I've applied for BA English and History Joint Honours and also both subjects as Single Honours.  All the course are at the same institution as I am a "home" student.  A neighbouring Uni did appeal to me but the logistics just didn't work.  After I sent my form off I must admit I did a little dance. It felt so exciting. I am going to go to University and I am going to graduate with a good degree. Look at academia here I come.

I will post my Blake essay here tomorrow.  What a fag that proved to be, albeit an enjoyable one. I really struggled with viruses and Winter Blues to find the energy to physically write this essay. Moreover, I struggled to stay within the word limit.  Blake is just phenomenal. The guy was a genius and I  wanted to say so much about his technique and his themes.  I could have written several essays. Hopefully I can return to Blake at undergraduate level if there is a module.

History - Hitler, we're looking at the rise of Hitler, which in the light of Saddam Hussain and The War on Terror, will be very interesting.

Well my family have just appeared with some yummy fish and chips so I'll write gain later.
